Springtime in Paris: A carnival

While extensive layovers tend to be undesirable and exhausting, nothing could be less true of my layover in Paris while trying to get back to the states after my two-week EuroTrip with Caro.

In fact, the extra time (48 hours to be exact) resulted in: an impromptu stop to see my homeboy Fred at Colette (French high fashion, streetwear, and accessory retailer– my fav!); meeting him for lunch in the Jardin des Tuileries; and then stumbling upon a spring carnival near the Louvre. Ah, sweet Paris! La vie en rose.

Check out the below images to see some of what I saw during this special and unexpected surprise.

My initial view of le Louvre following my two minute walk from Colette.
The Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel.
Carnival goers take in and document available activities and rides.
An animated tree figure stands guard outside of a haunted house.
A mom lends a helping hand to her daughter with a carnival game.
Le Louvre remains visible behind the ferris wheel during sunset.
The attendant of carnival game stands and waits for the next round of customers.
My homeboy, Fred.
